Appointed by you, managed by us

In short, acting as principal contractor for your commercial refurbishment project means that we run the project from beginning to end, coordinating and managing the timeline, budget, logistics, sub-contractors and legal obligations.

Our key role is to deliver excellence with peace of mind, so you are not distracted from your own key role.

It’s never too early to speak to us regarding commercial building projects that are in the pipeline. We can then offer guidance on the most suitable construction methods, site-set up, phased works and identify any potential issues that might stall the project or drive up costs and time.

Taking the role as Principal Contractor on most of our projects we can work in easy collaboration with architects and engineers. The key to our success in delivering projects is the time we take at the outset of a project to ensure the scope and plan are understood.

Enquiry

We work closely with our clients to understand their needs and the purpose for the completed project. This relationship begins to form during the enquiry stage.

We offer insight and our considerable expertise to suggest where costs and time may be saved, and endeavour to convert our discussions into a formal brief.

Planning

Whether your enquiry is regarding a warehouse refurb or a large outdoor education centre with demolition and new construction, the planning stage is where our design team draws up the formal proposal document.

The plan includes how sectors and teams will collaborate on the project, including:

  • You, the client
  • Architects and surveyors
  • Skilled trades and suppliers
  • Logistics and storage
  • The Health and Safety Executive
  • Building Regulations

Safety is at the forefront of any construction project, and Refurb PR includes mental wellbeing alongside physical safety. Our Safe Contractor accreditation and £5m level of insurance means our commercial refurbishment clients can feel confident in all aspects of delivery.

Proposal

We will arrange a convenient time to meet with you and deliver our proposal in person. The document includes:

  • Designs – CAD and BIM
  • Costs
  • Timeframes
  • Areas of responsibility
  • Terms

We are open to discussions on our projects and welcome further questions and even returning to the planning stage if necessary.

Appointment

Upon acceptance of the proposal, we begin our principal contractor role and look at the project set-up. Here we appoint collaborators and begin to source trades and supply chains and commence site surveys.

Following project completion

Upon acceptance of the proposal, we begin our principal contractor role and look at the project set-up. Here we appoint collaborators and begin to source trades and supply chains and commence site surveys.

Commencement of commercial refurbishment

We are confident in our competence at managing large commercial refurbishment projects and in our ability to select sub-contractors that uphold our own standards of excellence.

On completion of a project, our clients are presented with user and information manuals, service warranties and maintenance plans.

We have built and maintained an excellent reputation for what we do and how we do it, but in the event of any displeasure, we offer our further support to ensure you are completely satisfied.
